It’s an interesting’s person’s story explained by an interesting person. So it’s definitely an interesting read.
The book shows HP Lovecraft’s story in good detail, explains his weird stances (like his racism), tells you about his best novels, his greatest ideas, his thought processes and it’s all packaged in a pretty short package.
The book has lots to tell and it’s quick to deliver.
Don’t expect some worldly all-round wisdom though. The book is focused on the writing concepts that worked for HP Lovecraft and is not necessarily putting them up for grabs so you can copy them and paste into your own work. So you might not learn as much from this as you might expect.
