What a story! This is one of the books that is really complex, will take you a long time to read, but once it’s over you’ll be sad.
The characters, the story, the world building, the hidden messages, the cool moments - all 5 stars. But it’s all for the price that the book is sometimes hard to keep track of and understand what’s going on.
The author knows the book is complex though, which is why there is a list of characters, list of factions and a map of the city of last chances.
All in all it is a book I had a hard time reading in the middle parts, but when I pushed through it I finished it in a relatively quick time for me.
